Hi Lynn - I was so shocked by the news and truly feel for you. We lived in Egremont then Whitehaven for 6 years and my first 2 children were born in the West Cumberland. There is still a part of me up there and I can detect a West Cumbrian accent with ease.

I know how you feel about passing the flowers and all the memorials. We moved to Warrington from Whitehaven shortly before the gas plant and town centre bombs. My heart goes out to all of you. Even though the losses may not be personal, they are still very distressing and it feels like a collective grief and depression.

Thinking of you XX Ailsa

Hi Lyn,

So sorry to read about that awful shooting in Cumbria, one can only begin to imagine what pushes someone to do something like that. He looked such a nice guy, it must be devastating for those who have lost someone. Also for people like yourselves caught up in the aftermath. Thinking about you, Lorna xx
